Historique :	Vers 1737-1740. Cette statuette provient de la maquette pour la façade occidentale de la cathédrale d'Orléans réalisée entre 1737 et 1740 à Versailles, dans le jardin potager, sous la conduite de l'architecte de l'Académie royale Loriot, par le menuisier L'Échaudé et le sculpteur Jules Antoine Rousseau (statuettes, tympans des portails).

Précision sur_l'état :	A l'occasion de leur restauration par Sabine Cherki en 2011, les trois statuettes originales conservées (PM45002451, PM45002452 et PM45002453) ont été remplacées par des copies en résine sur la maquette. D'autres ont disparu.
