Historique :	Statue provenant de l'un des couronnements des tours de la façade ouest. Elle appartient au groupe de huit anges sculptés par Delaistre et Nogaret vers 1790 pour les arcatures circulaires couronnant le troisième étage des tours ouest de la cathédrale, anges qui présentent les instruments de la Passion ou s'inclinent devant la croix du clocher. Celui-ci a été déposé et remplacé in situ par une copie.

Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre restaurée : conservée dans le narthex de 1946 à 2015, l'ange a été restauré et installé sur un socle au revers de la façade ouest en 2015.
