Historique :	Due au ciseau de Nicolas Hubert, cette belle Vierge en pierre ornait la niche de la porte du Fort des Tourelles à Orléans. Lors de la démolition du pont en 1760, le chapitre de Saint-Aignan fit restaurer la Vierge et décora une chapelle à l'occasion de l'installation de cette statue dans l'église. Ces travaux demandés par le chapitre en 1759 s'achevèrent vers 1763.
